Police Arrest Four Suspected Kidnappers in Rivers State

The Rivers State Police Command arrested four suspects involved in a kidnapping incident that occurred on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Aluu community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State. The victim, Mrs Ikechukwu, 35, was abducted while attending to customers at her shop.

Following a distress call from her spouse, Mr Ikechukwu, police operatives launched an operation that led to the victim's rescue and the recovery of the suspects' operational vehicle, a white-tinted mini-bus. The spokesperson for the command, Assistant Superintendent of Police Blessing Agabe, confirmed that all four suspects—Owhor Chinedu, 42; Isioto Waribok, 30; Maduabuchi Emeka, 34; and Joe Karachi, 28—confessed to their roles in the crime during interrogation.

The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, Olugbenga Adepoju, directed the intensive investigation. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend two remaining members of the kidnapping syndicate and recover the firearms used in the operation.
