Lagos Man Arrested for Allegedly Defiling Stepdaughter

The Lagos State Police Command arrested a 38-year-old man, identified as Michael, along with another suspect for allegedly assaulting his 13-year-old stepdaughter. The arrest occurred in the Agege area on Sunday.

The girl, who had been living with Michael, reportedly disclosed to her biological father that she had been sexually abused by him after running away from home. Following this revelation, her father reported the incident to the police at a station in Ketu.

Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the arrests, stating that both suspects were detained and the victim was taken for a medical examination at the Mirabel Centre. The victim is set to be transferred to the Gender Unit in Ikeja for further investigation.

This incident follows a previous case reported in February 2025, where a man was arrested for defiling a 14-year-old girl.
