Mentally Deranged Woman Arrested for Killing IDP in Borno State

In Borno State, a mentally deranged woman identified as Yagana Zara was apprehended for reportedly killing a fellow internally displaced person, Yagana Abba Butu, at the Water Board IDP camp in Monguno. The suspect, suffering from mental challenges, fatally beat the victim, leading to severe injuries.

Security forces intervened to rescue the suspect from a potential mob attack and evacuated the victim to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead. The State Criminal Investigation Department in Maiduguri has initiated an investigation, with the suspect undergoing mental evaluation.
