Kebbi State Judge Faruk Hassan Bunza Freed from Kidnappers

The Kebbi State Police Command confirmed the release of Hon. Justice Faruk Hassan Bunza of the Kebbi State High Court, who was abducted from his residence in Bunza on July 26, 2026.

His release was announced on Monday, with confirmation from his family and the Kebbi State Ministry of Justice. The police stated that although the kidnappers made a ransom demand, they uphold a firm stance against ransom payments.

Following the judge's release, the police and other security agencies have intensified their investigative efforts to track down the kidnappers and bring them to justice.
