Sokoto Police Inspector Adamu Isah Dies After Exercise

Inspector Adamu Isah, an officer with the Sokoto State Police Command's Department of Operations, collapsed shortly after participating in a weekly walkathon exercise on Wednesday. Following the incident, he was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, confirmed the news in a statement issued on Thursday. Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Shaffa, expressed deep sorrow over Isah's sudden death, describing it as a painful loss for the command.

He commended Isah for his unwavering commitment and professionalism, noting his active involvement in sports, including being a member of the command’s volleyball team and a boxer. Shaffa assured Isah's family of the police's support during this difficult time and urged personnel to take solace in Isah's years of dedicated service to the nation.
