Sokoto Police Inspector Adamu Isah Dies After Exercise

Inspector Adamu Isah, attached to the Department of Operations of the Sokoto State Police Command, collapsed shortly after participating in a weekly Walkathon exercise at the command headquarters on Wednesday. Following his collapse, he was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, issued a statement regarding the incident on Thursday. CP Hayatu Hassan Shaffa expressed deep sadness over Isah's sudden death, describing him as a dedicated and gallant officer who served the nation with commitment and professionalism.

Isah was noted to be an active sportsman, participating in the command’s volleyball team and boxing. The commissioner extended condolences to Isah's family, friends, and colleagues, assuring them of the command's support.

He encouraged officers to take solace in Isah's exemplary life of service and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
