Police Manhunt for Kidnappers of Lafia University Students

The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers of three 100-level students from the Federal University of Lafia. The abduction occurred at approximately 8:45 PM on Saturday at Sure Leaders Lodge, located off the university’s campus in the Bukan Kwato area.

SP Ramhan Nansel, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that no arrests have been made yet, but efforts are underway to ensure the safe release of the victims. He mentioned that there are ongoing underground efforts and suspects have been identified, pending confirmation.

A student from the university expressed concern over the rising incidents of kidnapping in the area, urging the government to enhance security around the campus. The management of the Federal University of Lafia has not yet issued an official statement regarding the kidnapping, although they acknowledged an attack on a female student.
