Police Assure Safe Rescue of Oyo Abducted Schoolchildren

The Nigeria Police Force, led by Deputy Inspector General Mr. Adegoke Fayoad, has pledged to ensure the safe rescue of schoolchildren abducted in Oyo, firmly rejecting any discussions regarding ransom demands from the kidnappers.

During an official visit to the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, Fayoad emphasized the ongoing coordinated efforts across various security formats to secure the swift recovery of the victims. He stated that the police are focused on the safe recovery of the abducted individuals and are not engaging in ransom negotiations.

Fayoad's visit aimed to strengthen operational strategies and improve personnel welfare, addressing challenges such as manpower shortages and logistical support. He also noted the Nigeria Police Force's increasing reliance on technology, including the development of a centralized data system and the adoption of artificial intelligence to enhance intelligence gathering and investigations.

Fayoad urged collaboration between the police and the public to effectively manage national security.
