PSC Appoints AIG Auwal as POLAC Commandant, Deploys CPs

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Auwal Musa Mohammed as the new Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) located in Wudil, Kano State. This appointment is part of the PSC's ongoing efforts to strengthen police leadership and address emerging security challenges.

AIG Auwal Musa Mohammed has over 33 years of policing experience, having held various strategic roles including Commandant of the Police College in Maiduguri and Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Policy from Bayero University, Kano.

Alongside this appointment, the PSC also deployed eight Commissioners of Police to different state commands to fill vacancies created by recent promotions. The affected officers include CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo to Abia State, CP Ayodeji Faniyan to Plateau State, CP Saka Adewale Ajao to Bayelsa State, and others to their respective commands.
