PSC Promotes 13 CPs, 17 DCPs, and More in Abuja

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the promotion of 13 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), 17 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) to the rank of CP, 28 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to the rank of DCP, and 33 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) to the rank of ACP. This decision was made during a plenary meeting held on Wednesday in Abuja, as confirmed by the PSC's spokesperson, Torti Kalu.

The promoted officers include notable figures such as Itam Nnagh Obono (CP Counter Terror Unit), Bassei Samuel Ewah (CP Plateau State), and Osagi John Agan Irabor (CP FCID Lagos). Additionally, 162 Assistant Superintendents of Police II (ASP II) were confirmed in their appointments.

The PSC Chairman, Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd), congratulated the promoted officers and emphasized the importance of professionalism and integrity in their new roles.
