Gombe Police Arrest 7 Suspects in Kidnapping Syndicate Crackdown

The Gombe State Police Command made a significant breakthrough by apprehending seven suspects, including Abdullahi Ibrahim, in connection with various kidnapping incidents in Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe, and Adamawa states. The suspects were involved in generating over 150 million in ransom payments.

The arrests followed a successful operation in the Gadam Bush area, where firearms and ammunition were recovered. The syndicate was linked to a kidnapping case from January 2025 in Barderi village, Akko LGA, where a victim was held for ransom.

The police are urging residents to provide credible information to support security operations.
