Amaechi Warns of Result Sheet Theft Threatening INEC Staff

Rotimi Amaechi, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress and former governor of Rivers State, has issued a warning regarding the theft of result sheets by politicians at polling units. He stated that this act poses a significant risk to the lives of ad hoc staff working for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Amaechi emphasized that politicians are indifferent to the safety of these individuals, urging parents to discourage their children from participating as ad hoc staff. He insisted that the integrity of the voting process must be upheld, stating that results should be counted at polling units and not manipulated.

Amaechi also expressed confidence in the ADC's ability to mobilize support, asserting that the party would ensure that votes are counted accurately and that the electoral process remains transparent and trustworthy.
