Wike: Abuja Development Projects Will Continue Amid Politics

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated that development projects in Abuja will continue regardless of political activities leading up to the 2027 general elections. He made this declaration on Tuesday during the flag-off of the construction of the Southern Parkway, which is part of a broader effort to enhance infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory.

Wike emphasized that the administration remains focused on transforming the nation's capital, following directives from President Bola Tinubu. He expressed confidence that significant infrastructural changes would occur by the end of Tinubu's first term in office on May 29, 2027.

Wike assured residents that political considerations would not hinder ongoing projects aimed at improving transportation and quality of life in Abuja. The event was attended by Tinubu's representative, Prof.

Nentaw Yilwatda, and marked the inauguration of several road infrastructure projects under Wike's leadership.
