Poor Leadership Stunts Nigeria's Growth, Says Pat Utomi

Utomi insisted that Nigeria's future hinges on purposeful leadership, effective management of natural resources, and strategic foreign loans. He reflected on his experiences, including attending a European-African summit where he noted the lack of clear negotiation strategies among African delegates.

Utomi questioned why Nigeria, despite producing brilliant graduates, fails to realize its potential. He argued that successful nations build strong institutions and invest consistently in education and healthcare.

He cited leadership expert John Maxwell and emphasized the importance of cultural influence in leadership. The event also celebrated Dr. Ukpaka's journey from poor academic performance to success, highlighting the transformative power of leadership.
