Portable Critiques Pastors Over Silence on Plateau Attacks

Nigerian street pop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly criticized Christian leaders for their silence on recent violent attacks in Plateau State. His comments came in response to reports of fresh violence during the Easter season, including incidents that occurred on Palm Sunday, which left several people dead and others injured in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North Local Government.

Portable questioned why religious leaders have not organized protests to demand action from authorities following these attacks. In reaction to the violence, several religious leaders, including Jerri Ez and Daniel Okoh, president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, condemned the killings, describing them as horrific and calling for urgent measures to prevent further loss of life.
