Portable Critiques Nigerian Pastors Over Silence on Violence

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly criticized Nigerian pastors for their perceived hypocrisy in the face of violence against Christians. In a video broadcast, he expressed outrage over the recent attacks on Christians in Plateau State, which he attributes to suspected jihadist militias.

Portable questioned why pastors, who reportedly use bulletproof vehicles for their safety, have not led protests against the killings of their congregants. He highlighted the ongoing violence and alleged genocide against Christians in Nigeria, suggesting that pastors should be more vocal and proactive in addressing these issues.

He contrasted the silence of Christian leaders with the vocal responses of Islamic clerics to attacks on Muslims. Portable's remarks come amid renewed outrage over the killings of Christians, emphasizing the need for religious leaders to take a stand against such violence.
