Power Outage Disrupts Lagos and Abuja Electricity Supply

Electricity supply has been disrupted across parts of Lagos and Abuja following technical faults impacting transmission and distribution infrastructure. Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDC) informed customers about a loss of supply affecting 12 feeders in the Lekki, Ajah, and Ibeju-Lekki areas of Lagos State, including Ibeju, Ajah Local 1, Medallion Data, Urban Prime, Main One, Maroko, Chevron, Oke-Ira, Ikate Express, Ilasan, NTDA 1, and Eleko.

Additionally, the VGC, Oke-Ira, and Agungi Injection Substations were also affected. EKEDC attributed the disruption to a fault within the specified areas and stated that its technical teams were collaborating with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to restore the affected transformer and reconnect all impacted feeders.

The company apologized for the inconvenience caused and assured customers that further updates would be provided as restoration efforts progress, urging patience from those in the affected areas.
