Power Outage Affects Lekki, Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki Areas

Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP) reported a power outage across the Lekki, Ajah, and Ibeju-Lekki areas of Lagos State, caused by a loss of supply affecting approximately 12 feeders. The affected feeders include Ibeju, Ajah Local 1, Medallion Data, Urban Prime, Main One, Maroko, Chevron, Oke-Ira, Ikate Express, Ilasan, NTDA 1, and Eleko.

EKEDP stated that injection substations at VGC, Oke-Ira, and Agungi were also impacted. The company is working with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to restore the affected transformer and reconnect all impacted feeders.

EKEDP attributed the outage to a fault affecting electricity supply in the region and urged customers to remain patient during restoration efforts. Recent reports indicate ongoing power outages in the Lekki axis, linked to reductions in electricity supply and complaints from residents.

EKEDP previously noted that disruptions in power supply were due to technical faults on key transmission lines outside its distribution network.
