Premier League Clubs Record $4.75bn Summer Transfer Spend

The summer transfer window for Premier League clubs concluded with a record spending of $4.75 billion (£3.5 billion), marking a historic moment in English football. Manchester City emerged as the highest spender, totaling $609.1 million (£458 million), highlighted by the British-record joint deal for Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea at $168.8 million (£125 million) on deadline day.

City also secured Iliman Ndiaye for $87.7 million (£65 million) and added players Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi. Chelsea followed as the second highest spender with $470.7 million (£349 million), including a significant bid for Morgan Rogers at $159.6 million.

Tottenham Hotspur ranked third at $423.9 million (£302 million), while Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Everton also made substantial investments. Sunderland was noted as the lowest spender at $88.7 million (£65.7 million).

Overall, the spending increased by $688 million (£500 million) compared to last season's total of $4.1 billion (£3.1 billion).
