Berekum Chelsea Forward Domin Frimpong Dies in Robbery

Domin Frimpong, a forward for Berekum Chelsea, tragically succumbed to injuries sustained during an armed robbery attack. The incident occurred as the team was traveling along the Bibiani-Goaso highway, returning from a league fixture against Samartex.

Reports indicate that armed robbers ambushed the team bus, forcing the players and officials to abandon the vehicle and flee into nearby bushes. Gunshots were fired during the attack, resulting in injuries to several members of the traveling party.

Frimpong was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. He had recently joined Berekum Chelsea on loan from Aduana FC, where he had registered two goals in 13 appearances this season.

The Ghanaian football community is mourning his loss, and there are growing calls for improved security measures for clubs traveling for league fixtures across the country.
