Tinubu Congratulates Oyebanji on Ekiti Re-Election

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his re-election as Governor of Ekiti State, which took place on Saturday. In a statement issued on Sunday by his special adviser, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Oyebanji's re-election as a reflection of the confidence the people of Ekiti have in his administration.

He noted that the renewal of Oyebanji's mandate underscores public support and the need for continued stability in governance. Tinubu highlighted the significant progress made during Oyebanji's first term in areas such as infrastructure development, agriculture, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and rural development.

He commended the people of Ekiti for their peaceful and orderly conduct during the elections, demonstrating their commitment to democratic values. The President also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain efforts in delivering peaceful, free, fair, and credible elections in the future, including the upcoming Osun State governorship election in August and the general elections next year.

Tinubu reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to partner with Ekiti State to deliver dividends of democracy.
