Oyebanji Thanks Ekiti for Re-election, Seeks Cooperation

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji thanked the people of Ekiti for their overwhelming support that led to his re-election on June 20, 2023, securing a landslide victory across 177 wards in 16 local government areas. In a statement issued in Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji expressed deep gratitude for the renewed four-year mandate and called for collaboration with the People's Democratic Party, led by Wole Oluyed, and the African Democratic Congress, represented by Dare Bejid, to foster prosperity in Ekiti State.

He praised the peaceful conduct of the elections, which he described as exemplary, and commended various stakeholders, including traditional rulers, political party leaders, and security agencies, for their roles in ensuring a violence-free electoral process. Oyebanji acknowledged the significant improvements in the electoral process attributed to the dedication of the Independent National Electoral Commission staff and the impact of the Electoral Act.

He reiterated his commitment to delivering greater dividends of democracy during his second term.
