President Tinubu Celebrates Rescue of 308 Abducted Victims

President Tinubu announced the successful rescue of 308 abducted victims, with 163 individuals taken from Woro Community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State and 145 rescued from Niger State. The operation, which took place in Kainji Lake National Park Forest in New Bussa Local Government Area, was coordinated by the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) and involved personnel from the Armed Forces of Nigeria, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Police Force.

President Tinubu commended the leadership and personnel of these security agencies for their courage and collaboration, stating that the operation reflects the growing efficiency of Nigeria’s security architecture. After medical evaluations, the victims will be handed over to their respective state governments for care and family reunification.

The President directed security agencies to enhance early warning systems and community intelligence gathering to prevent future attacks, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity and protecting vulnerable communities.
