Tinubu Confirms Rescue of Abducted Corps Members in Kogi

On Monday evening, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the successful rescue of 21 individuals, including 15 members of the National Youth Service Corps and six other Nigerians, who were abducted in Kogi State. The rescue operation, conducted by a combined team from the military, the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Services, and local vigilantes, took place in the forests of Ofu Local Government Area.

The President expressed his delight at the news and confirmed that the rescued individuals are currently receiving medical attention before being reunited with their families. He commended the security agencies for their efforts and reiterated his directive to maintain pressure on the kidnappers, promising that those responsible would face the full weight of the law.

Tinubu emphasized his administration's commitment to ensuring the safety of all Nigerians and commended the families of the abductees for their understanding during the ordeal.
