Abiodun Urges Traditional Rulers to Drive Local Development

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun called on traditional rulers to prioritize the development of their domains and collaborate with the government for grassroots advancement. This statement was made during the installation of Oba Fatai Olatunji Balogun as the Alaye of Imobi Land in the Ijebu East Local Government Area.

Represented by Ganiyu Hamzat, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abiodun reiterated the government's commitment to industrial growth and attracting investments. He encouraged the people of Imobi to actively support government initiatives.

Dr Oluwadare Kehinde, Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, congratulated Oba Balogun and stressed the shared responsibility of leaders and citizens in societal development. Oba Adebisi Okubanjo, the Obiri of Aiyepe, advocated for an inclusive reign.

Oba Balogun expressed gratitude to the state government and pledged to lead transformative initiatives. His installation followed a traditional process endorsed by the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
