Shuaib Calls for End to Institutional Bullying in Nigeria

On Monday, Malam Yushau Shuaib, the founder of PRNigeria, urged for an end to "institutional bullying" in Nigeria during the unveiling of his memoir titled "mni versus mnipr in NIPSS: Tackling Institutional Bullying" in Abuja. Shuaib, a communication expert, emphasized the need for institutions to uphold the Nigerian Constitution and protect citizens' fundamental rights, including freedom of expression, movement, and association.

He shared his personal experiences of institutional bullying, harassment, and intimidation at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), where he was allegedly withdrawn from the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 47 last year due to a publication by his media organization, which he claimed he neither authored nor approved. Shuaib denied any wrongdoing and accused NIPSS of obtaining written apologies from him fraudulently.

Although he lost a legal challenge regarding his withdrawal, he plans to appeal the judgment to the Court of Appeal.
