PRP Aspirant Disagrees with Call for Tinubu's Resignation

Yakubu Moham Kingslei Sundai, a presidential aspirant for the People's Redemption Party (PRP) in the 2027 general elections, publicly disagreed with the party's national chairman, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, regarding a statement made on June 4, 2026.

Dr. Baba Ahmed called for the resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing him of failing to fulfill his constitutional responsibility to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians amid escalating insecurity.

In response, Sundai emphasized his support for Nigeria's democratic processes and stated that he does not support the call for the president's resignation. He highlighted the need to strengthen institutions in preparation for the 2027 elections, acknowledging the current challenges faced by the country, including economic hardship, insecurity, and unemployment.

Sundai noted that millions of Nigerians are experiencing unprecedented difficulties, and he expressed sympathy for those affected by insecurity, while advocating for visionary leadership and institutional discipline.
