PSC Dismisses Fake Police Recruitment Shortlist Online

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has issued a statement dismissing a purported shortlist of candidates for police recruitment that has been circulating on social media as fake and unauthorized. Ikechukwu Ani, the head of protocol and public affairs at the PSC, confirmed that no official shortlist has been released for the next stage of the ongoing police recruitment exercise.

The PSC clarified that the evaluation of the written examination has concluded successfully, and formal notifications will be sent to successful applicants once the process is complete. The commission reiterated its commitment to a merit-based recruitment process and warned the public to be vigilant against fraudsters exploiting the recruitment exercise with false information.

The PSC stressed that updates regarding the recruitment process will only be communicated through its verified channels and urged candidates to disregard unofficial messages while awaiting formal communication from the commission.
