PSG Tede Honors Late Pioneer Principal Adeleke

Chief Jonathan Adebunmi Adeleke, the first principal of Progress Secondary Grammar School (PSG) Tede, was celebrated by alumni for his visionary leadership and contributions to education. The Progress Old Student Association, represented by Dr.

Funso Folaranmi and Tajudeen Alabed, described Adeleke as a prudent manager and a moulder of destinies, whose influence shaped the school and the community. Appointed in 1976, he laid the foundation for the school's academic, sports, and cultural development, leading to the graduation of its first set of students in 1981.

Under his stewardship, PSG achieved notable successes in various competitions. His contributions were formally recognized when he was conferred a prestigious title by Oba Salami Olukokun Aderounmu Alebiosun II in 1984.

A tribute event was held on April 7, 2026, led by Oba Abdul Rauf Adebimp Oladoyin, where community leaders and stakeholders acknowledged Adeleke's enduring influence. Plans are underway to immortalize his contributions during PSG Tede's 50th anniversary celebrations later this year.
