UK Alleges Russian Influence in Iran's Drone Warfare

On Thursday, UK Defence Secretary John Healey indicated that Russia's "hidden hand" might be influencing Iran's drone warfare tactics amid ongoing conflicts involving the United States and Israel. This remark was made during a visit to the UK military headquarters at Northwood, near London.

Healey disclosed that an analysis of Iranian-made drones, which struck the RAF Akrotiri air force base in Cyprus on March 1, suggested possible foreign components, raising questions about Russian technology involvement. He noted that it was not surprising for Russia to play a role in shaping Iran's military tactics, especially given the close strategic relationship between the two nations in recent years.

Despite this, U.S. President Donald Trump stated there was no indication of active Russian support for Iran in the conflict.

British military chief of joint operations, Nick Perry, also mentioned clear signs of a connection between Moscow and Tehran in the ongoing conflict, particularly in the operational tactics of U.S. drones.
