Davido Comments on Wike-APC Governors Political Crisis

Afrobeat musician Davido commented on the political crisis between the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, rejected Wike's Rainbow Coalition, which is a cross-party political movement supporting President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for 2027.

Uzodimma stated that APC governors would not support cross-party alliances. Davido, who recently visited Wike in Abuja following the Osun governorship election, expressed his excitement about the ongoing dispute by sharing a video interview of Wike and Uzodimma on his Instagram story, captioning it with “Movie loading” and including a popcorn emoji.

Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is currently serving as FCT minister under the APC administration of President Bola Tinubu, who appointed him in recognition of Wike's support during the 2023 presidential election against Atiku Abubakar, the PDP candidate.
