Real Madrid Signs Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan

Real Madrid has officially signed Dutch full-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan on a four-year deal. The transfer fee has not been confirmed, but reports suggest it is approximately €20 million, equivalent to £17.1 million.

Dumfries, who is 30 years old, is considered Real Madrid's fourth signing of the summer and is expected to provide competition for England's Trent Alexander-Arnold. During his time at Inter Milan, Dumfries helped the club secure two Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia trophies after joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2021.

He made 207 appearances for Inter, contributing 27 goals and 28 assists. Additionally, Dumfries played a key role in helping the Netherlands reach the last 32 in the recent summer World Cup.

Real Madrid, under the presidency of Florentino Perez, aims to strengthen its defensive options following a trophy-less season.
