Shema Urges APC Winners to Reconcile with Lost Aspirants

Ibrahim Shehu Shema, the former governor of Katsina State, called on winners of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections to reconcile with aspirants who lost their tickets. Speaking to journalists after casting his vote in Dutsinma Local Government Area during the APC presidential primary elections, Shema stated that grievances are a normal part of any political process.

He stressed that reconciliation is vital to maintain harmony within the party, which is crucial for future electoral endeavors. Shema, who serves as co-chair of the APC's reconciliation committee alongside former governor Aminu Masari, noted that the committee has made significant progress in addressing complaints from aggrieved members.

He advised those who lost their tickets not to abandon the party, asserting that losing a ticket does not equate to political failure. Shema emphasized the importance of sustaining cooperation among party members to ensure continued unity within the APC, especially as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
