Kwankwaso Urges Yari to Reject APC Campaign Role

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Vice Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara State, to reject his appointment as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 elections. Kwankwaso emphasized that Yari, as a prominent leader from the North-West, should recognize the severe consequences of insecurity, poverty, and unemployment affecting the region and the nation.

He expressed surprise if Yari were to lead a campaign aimed at continuing a government that has caused significant hardship to the populace. Kwankwaso criticized the APC campaign team for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election as lacking new ideas and argued that the 2027 election would represent a struggle between the oppressed masses and those benefiting from the current system.

He urged Yari to reconsider his acceptance of the role, highlighting the need for accountable governance in light of the ongoing challenges faced by Nigerians.
