REDAN Launches 2,400-Unit Housing Estate in Abuja

The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Abuja Chapter, has committed to reducing Nigeria's housing deficit by launching The Embassy, a 2,400-unit housing estate in Wasa District, Abuja. Dr. Gbadewole Kayode, Vice President of REDAN and CEO of Crown Allied Global Realty, stated that Nigeria's official housing deficit stands at 14.98 million units.

The project aims to provide energy-efficient homes and flexible payment options for low-income earners, allowing them to pay part of the cost and spread the balance over six months. The estate will be developed in partnership with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and other Primary Mortgage Institutions.

The project is expected to generate over 3,000 jobs during its development, with each duplex requiring more than 30 workers. The Embassy will be a smart estate powered entirely by solar energy, featuring a commercial district of about 20 hectares, including hotels and opportunities for investors.

The land has a Certificate of Occupancy issued by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
