Nigerian Artist Omotoyosi Ogunlend Celebrates Culture

Omotoyosi Ogunlend, a UK-based Nigerian string artist and sculptor, is known for his work with Thekraftzon, where he employs string art to reinforce communal spirit and cultural connections. His art captures the essence of the African diaspora, utilizing meticulous techniques involving threads and nails to create visual metaphors.

Ogunlend's notable works include portraits of Bob Marley and Fela Anikulapo Kuti, which reflect themes of unity and resilience. His 2019 piece honoring Marley incorporates Rastafarian colors and intricate black threads to symbolize the power of his music.
