Kidnapped Victim Released After 56 Days in Captivity

A kidnapped victim was released on Friday after spending 56 days in captivity. The release was facilitated by a collaborative effort involving the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police, and the Western Security Network, codenamed Amotekun.

During the operation, eight members of the kidnapping gang were neutralized, and additional suspects were arrested. The victim was transported to Ibadan in an unmarked white coaster bus for medical examination.

Senator Fatai Buhari and Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoy were among the early visitors at the hospital, where the victim is receiving treatment. The Nigerian Army is overseeing the medical checks.

The operation was made possible through intelligence reports that blocked the kidnappers' escape routes. Family members are eagerly awaiting the victim's return home, with expectations of a reunion on Monday.
