Peter Obi Demands Release of Academic Records Publicly

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has publicly challenged the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and other institutions he attended to release his academic records. This request comes amid a legal dispute concerning UNN's alleged refusal to provide documents related to his academic history.

In a video released on Tuesday, Obi urged UNN to publish his admission documents and academic results from his first year through graduation. He extended this request to international institutions where he studied, including the Lagos Business School, London School of Economics, Columbia Business School, Kellogg School of Management, Harvard Business School, Oxford, and Cambridge.

Obi emphasized that public figures should be open to scrutiny and demonstrate integrity. He also encouraged anyone with information about his records, whether in Nigeria or abroad, to come forward.

This statement follows a legal suit filed on September 9 by Arabambi's lawyer, Anderson Asemota, against UNN, seeking to compel the university to release certified copies of documents related to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy.
