Ondo Poly Workers Get Relief as Aiyedatiwa Clears Salary Backlog

Governor Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has brought relief to workers of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo (RUGIPO) by clearing a 10-month salary backlog and approving payment for the remaining three months. The Governor highlighted the historical significance of this action during the institution's convocation ceremony, emphasizing the end of a dark chapter in the state's salary payment history.

Aiyedatiwa also commended the late sage Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin for establishing the institution. The Governor revealed that addressing the salary arrears was one of the first challenges he tackled upon assuming office, and he approved special intervention funds to ease the burden on the polytechnic.

He urged the institution to focus on producing innovative job creators and announced plans to upgrade RUGIPO to a full-fledged university of agriculture and agribusiness.
