Renewed Hope Initiative Delivers Food Aid to Osun State

The Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) extended its Food Outreach Scheme to Osun State, with Nana Shettima, the Wife of the Vice President, representing the First Lady. She handed over food items to Mrs Titilola Adeleke, the Wife of the Osun State Governor and RHI State Coordinator, for distribution to persons with disabilities, widows, and other vulnerable groups.
Launched in March 2024, the scheme aims to provide nutritional support and improve family welfare across Nigeria. Mrs Tinubu stated that the initiative complements President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
The program is sustained through donations from the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative and an anonymous donor, providing two truckloads of food monthly to support two states. Ogun and Akwa Ibom states are set to be the next beneficiaries.
Governor Ademola Adeleke, through Secretary Teslim Igbalaye, commended the initiative as a humanitarian intervention. Mrs Adeleke expressed gratitude for the support, noting improvements in welfare, commercial activities, agriculture, food security, education, and healthcare.
