Aregbesola Calls Tinubu's Agenda a Scam, Demands Resignation

Rauf Aregbesola, the former Minister of Interior and Governor of Osun State, publicly mocked President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda, labeling it a classic scam during his speech at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) national convention in Abuja. Aregbesola urged Tinubu to resign, arguing that the current administration has exacerbated insecurity and economic difficulties in Nigeria.

He highlighted the alarming rise in the number of schoolchildren in extreme poverty, which has reached nearly 20 million. Aregbesola criticized the government's failure to address power supply issues, stating that many Nigerians receive only an average of two hours of electricity daily.

He condemned the administration's handling of the economy, pointing out that the exchange rate has devalued significantly since Tinubu took office in 2023. Aregbesola's remarks reflect a broader discontent with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and call for citizens to join the ADC's mission to reclaim the country from what he described as a "strangling grip" of the current government.
