Tinubu's Aide Defends "Renewed Hope" Against Aregbesola

Sunday Dare, a media aide to President Bola Tinubu, responded to comments made by Rauf Aregbesola, the former governor of Osun State, during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention. Aregbesola's remarks suggested that Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda was a scam.

Dare described Aregbesola's statements as self-indicting and indicative of his inability to assess the ongoing reforms under Tinubu's administration. He emphasized that Aregbesola's tenure as Minister of Interior was marked by poor outcomes, including issues with the passport system and jailbreaks.

Dare defended the reforms introduced by Tinubu's administration, highlighting improvements in passport processing and border control. He also pointed out that when Tinubu assumed office, Nigeria's net foreign reserves were $4 billion, which have since increased to $34 billion.

Dare's statements aimed to counter Aregbesola's criticisms and reinforce the effectiveness of the current administration's policies.
