FG Assures Resumption of Bida-Lapai-Lambata Road Work

Sa’idu Musa Abdullahi, a member of the House of Representatives from Niger State, commended the federal government for its assurance to resume work on the Bida-Lapai-Lambata road project. This commendation followed a meeting between the Minister of Works, David Umahi, and a delegation from the Coalition of Niger South Development Associations, led by Abdullahi.

In a statement released on Friday, Abdullahi highlighted the road's socio-economic significance and the security issues faced by communities along the route due to its poor condition. He noted that the state of the road has adversely affected economic activities and movement in the area, exacerbating security concerns for residents.

Mallam Muhammad Jameel, Chairman of the Bida Forum, represented the coalition and expressed the need for urgent intervention regarding the project. Minister of State for Works, Bello Mohammed Goronyo, acknowledged the stakeholders' commitment and assured that Minister Umahi would fulfill the pledge to address the road project.
