FG Launches Babban Lamba–Sharam Road Rehabilitation

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated the second phase of the rehabilitation of the Babban Lamba–Sharam Road in Plateau State. This project is part of the administration's infrastructure renewal program, which aims to enhance connectivity and promote economic growth across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.

President Bola Tinubu, representing the nation, emphasized the strategic importance of the project, which is expected to create jobs, boost tourism, and strengthen regional integration. The contractor has been instructed to prioritize the employment of local residents along the project corridor throughout the construction period.

Minister of Works David Umahi expressed gratitude to the community for their support and highlighted the modest achievements of the administration in the road sector. Former Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, described the project as a landmark intervention that will stimulate economic activity, improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and unlock new investment opportunities in Plateau State.
