Isa Resigns from PDP, Citing Internal Crises

Isa, the Minority Whip in the House of Representatives, announced his resignation from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in a letter dated April 14, 2026. The letter was addressed to the chairman of the Kindiyo Ward in Balanga Local Government Area, Gombe State.

Isa cited internal crises and alleged undemocratic practices within the party as reasons for his departure. He described the party as being hijacked by undemocratic forces and expressed concern over the state of development led by factional leadership within the PDP.

The decision to resign was made after extensive consultations with family members, political associates, and stakeholders. Isa emphasized his commitment to prioritizing the welfare and political future of his constituents and expressed a desire for a stronger political platform to advance their interests.

Despite his resignation, he expressed appreciation for the opportunities he had to serve on the PDP platform.
