Ali Isa Resigns from PDP Citing Internal Crises

On April 14, 2026, Ali Isa, the minority whip in the House of Representatives, submitted his resignation from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). In his resignation letter addressed to the chairman of Kindiyo Ward in Balanga Local Government Area, Gombe State, Isa cited internal crises and undemocratic practices as the primary reasons for his departure.

He expressed that his decision was compelled by the undemocratic forces that have hijacked the party, which he believes contradicts the principles and philosophy of the PDP.
