Resident Doctors Praise Uba Sani for Healthcare Improvements

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has praised Governor Uba Sani for his focus on their welfare and the enhancement of healthcare delivery in Kaduna State. This commendation was issued in a communiqué after the NARD's July National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which took place from July 26 to 31, 2026, at the Gombe International Hotel, Gombe State.

The association noted that Governor Sani has made significant strides in improving the conditions for resident doctors through better remuneration, infrastructure, manpower development, and overall working conditions. Additionally, the communiqué highlighted the Governor's efforts in renovating and upgrading all 255 Primary Healthcare Centres to Level 2 status, expanding maternal and child healthcare services, and strengthening disease surveillance.

The Kaduna State Government is also revitalizing secondary healthcare facilities, enhancing workforce planning, and maintaining regular funding for the Medical Residency Training Fund, demonstrating a commitment to developing future specialist physicians in the state.
