Residents of Ogun State Demand Road Repairs Amid Flooding

Residents of Cele Phase 2 community in Aseese, located in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, have expressed their urgent need for government intervention to rehabilitate their road, which is in a deplorable condition. The residents reported that the road becomes muddy and slippery during the rainy season, making movement difficult for motorists, commercial motorcyclists, and other commuters.

Wale Elegbede, a resident, stated that many motorists avoid the road when it rains due to its poor condition. Kemi Adebisi, a local trader, highlighted that the road's deterioration disrupts business activities, while Tosin Akinwale mentioned significant financial losses from repeated vehicle repairs caused by the road's condition.

Another resident, Adeoye Ogunwale, described the road as "very, very bad," noting that it contributes to flooding in the community. The residents are appealing to both the Ogun State and local governments to address these issues promptly.
