Binani Condemns ADC Congresses Over Court Order Violation

On April 13, Binani, a governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, condemned the recent local government and ward congresses conducted by the party, describing them as illegitimate due to an existing court order. Binani's remarks were made during an address in Yola, where she gathered support from representatives of 21 local government areas.

She questioned the legitimacy of the congresses, which were held in defiance of a High Court order that directed the suspension of such activities. The state chairman of the ADC, Yohanna Shehu, allegedly excluded members from the executive committee from participating in the congress, despite the court's directive.

Binani expressed her dissatisfaction with these developments, emphasizing the need for party members to abide by the court's ruling and remain calm while awaiting the court's final decision. The High Court has scheduled further hearings for the case on April 15.
