Mbah Urges Ndigbo to Embrace Strategic Politics

On Tuesday, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State called on the Ndigbo to return to strategic politics to enhance their influence in Nigeria. Speaking during a reception for the leadership of the Citi Boi Movement, which supports President Bola Tinubu's re-election, Mbah lamented the political fragmentation and isolationist tendencies that have characterized the region.

He recalled that historically, Ndigbo leaders engaged in strategic alliances across Nigeria, which he believes is essential for the region's political future. Mbah commended President Tinubu's economic policies, stating that they have begun to alleviate macroeconomic pressures and attract foreign investment.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu would win re-election, urging the Ndigbo to align strategically and avoid past mistakes of political marginalization. Obinna Iyiegbu, known as Obi Cubana, also highlighted the need for the South East to build strategic alliances to regain lost political ground.
